Discover the highlights of Ninh Binh on a 2-day journey from Hanoi. Itinerary in brief

DAY 1: HOA LU – TAM COC – MUA CAVE (L/D)

  • 07:25–08:00: Pick up from Hanoi Old Quarter/Opera House and depart for Ninh Binh.
  • 09:15: Short break.
  • 10:15: Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital and learn about Vietnam’s history. Enjoy cycling around the local village.
  • 12:00: Buffet lunch featuring a variety of local Vietnamese dishes.
  • 13:30: Take a 1.5-hour bamboo boat trip in Tam Coc, passing rice fields, rivers and caves.
  • 15:30: Visit Mua Cave and climb around 500 steps to enjoy panoramic views of Tam Coc.
  • 17:00: Check in at bungalow/hotel and relax.
  • 19:00: Dinner and free time to explore Tam Coc.
  • Overnight: Bungalow/Hotel in Ninh Binh.

DAY 2 – CHOOSE 1 OF 3 OPTIONS

OPTION 1: BAI DINH – TRANG AN (B/L)

  • 09:30: Transfer to Bai Dinh Pagoda.
  • 10:30: Explore Bai Dinh Pagoda, famous for its impressive Buddhist architecture and numerous records.
  • 12:30: Buffet lunch.
  • 13:30: Take a 2-hour boat trip through Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • 16:00: Depart for Hanoi.
  • 18:30: Drop off at your hotel in Hanoi.

OPTION 2: BICH DONG – THAI VI – THUNG NHAM BIRD VALLEY (B/L)

  • 09:00: Cycle to Thai Vi Temple and Bich Dong Pagoda.
  • 11:30: Check out and enjoy lunch with local specialties.
  • 14:00: Explore Thung Nham Bird Valley, including a boat trip through the cave and bird-watching area.
  • 16:00: Return to Hanoi.
  • 18:30: Drop off at your hotel.

OPTION 3: CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK (B/L)

  • 08:30: Pick up and depart for Cuc Phuong National Park.
  • 10:30: Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre.
  • 12:00: Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Afternoon: Trek through the national park, discover its rich flora and fauna, and visit the Cave of Early Man.
  • 16:00: Return to Hanoi by limousine bus.
  • 18:30: Arrive in Hanoi and drop off at your hotel.

07h25 – 8h00: Get picked up by our friendly guide then depart for NinhBinh province
Pickup time depends on the location of tourists in Hanoi Old Quarter/Opera House

09h15: Have a short break for 15 – 20 minutes to relax

10h15: Visit HoaLư ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. You have a chance to learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasty
Here, we go cycling around the village for sightseeing & discovering the life of the local peop

12h00: Have the buffet lunch at NinhBinh Excursion Restaurant designed with 5 stars-style with many local foods options such as goat meat, spring-rolls, fish, chicken, fried rice & vegetable salad….Vegetarian foods are always available in the buffet lunch

 

13h30: Visit Tam Coc by 1.5-hour bamboo boat.  You will be surprised by the charming beauty here with
paddy fields, river, water, cloud, sky and a stunning cave system during the boat trip. All make a masterpiece that Vietnamese people called “Ha Long Bay on land”

15h30: Get back to Limousine Bus then leave for Mua Cave (Dragon Peak). Walk up almost 500 steps, you can reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain & have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from here. Besides, you can breath fresh air at very beautiful lotus paddy field nearby, especially in the summer time

17h00 : Check in Bungalow/Hotel then free time to relax (can use swimming pool in summer time)

19h00 : Have dinner at bungalow/hotel then walk around Tam Coc for a walk
Sleep at Bungalow/hotel

 

Day 2: You can choose 1 of 3 options belows 

OPT 1 : Bai Dinh – Trang An (B/L)

Morning: Have breakfast at Hotel/ Bungalow then check out and be ready for the trip

09h30 :Get picked up then transfer to BaiDinh Pagoda

10h30: Visit BaiDinh Pagoda – the most famous & biggest Pagoda in Southeast Asia with many records set such as 500 Stone - Arhat Statues, 36 ton-bronze Bell, 100 ton-Budhha Statue…

12h30: Have the buffet lunch at NinhBinh Excursion Restaurant designed with 5 stars-style with many local foods options such as goat meat, spring-rolls, fish, chicken, fried rice & vegetable salad….Vegetarian foods are always available in the buffet lunch

 

13h30: Visit TrangAn which was recognized by UNESCO as A World Heritage Site in 2014. TrangAn has a wonderful tunnel cave system that no place like it. With 2 hours-boat trip, you will be persuaded by the beauty here 

16h00: Get on the bus to return to Hotel

 
- OPT 2 : Bich Dong pagoda, Thai Vi temple – ThungNham Bird Valley
 Morning: Have breakfast at Hotel/ Bungalow then be ready for the trip
9h00: Get picked up by our friendly guide then cycle to visit the Thai Vi temple and Bich Dong pagoda (the second most beautiful cave in Viet Nam)
11h30: Have lunch in the restaurant with a lot of local foods such as goat meat, fish, spring roll, fried rice…
Vegetarian foods are always available at the lunch
14h00: Continue to ThungNhamBird Valley. Get on a small sampan to discover Hang But (Buddhist Cave), about 500m in length, a magical view of the stalactites and stalagmites, and see a big Buddha-shaped stalactite sitting beside an underground river, as well as visit an orchard of tropical fruits in this area.
The best time for the bird park in the afternoon, sit quietly on a boat and slowly paddle through Thung Chim (Thung Nham), discover the most features of this area with more than 4,000 birds of 40 species flying to inhabit every day. Your best chance to take nice photos and immerse yourself in the wild and nature.
16h00: Free time to relax in Bungalow/Hotel (can use swimming pool in summer time)
19h00: Have dinner at bungalow/hotel then walk around Tam Coc for a walk

OPT 3 : Cuc Phuong National Park (B/L)
Cuc Phuong National Park belongs to NhoQuan District, NinhBinh province, which is bounded by three provinces of NinhBinh, HoaBinh, and, ThanhHoa province. It is far about 100 kilometers from Hanoi to the southwest. Cuc Phuong national park is the first national park in Vietnam, established in July 1962. Cuc Phuong National Park has a population of abundant flora and fauna.
Morning: Have breakfast and be ready for Cuc Phuong National Park.
8:45: Get picked up by our friendly guide and start the tour
10:30: We will firstly visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre - a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates, and to the protection of their habitats. 
12:00:Have lunch in the restaurant with the local foods.
13:30: Continue taking a short trek into the National Park for sightseeing and learn more aboutthe fauna and flora in this oldest forest of Vietnam. Back to the Park Centre visit the “Cave of Early Man”.
16:00: Free time to relax in Bungalow/Hotel (can use swimming pool in summer time)
19h00: Have dinner at bungalow/hotel then walk around Tam Coc for a walk
